Patty and i did legs today. i. am. tired. it went by fast. she just told me what to do - bam, bam bam, i did it. one after another.
for dinner, we had chicken with some gravy, red potatoes, Hawaiian sweet rolls, and spinach salad (with a chips and salsa appetizer).

11:29 pm - Family and Food Problems

so when i last wrote earlier i ended by saying i was hungry and was going to go eat a slice of pizza. the pizza was there for an appetizer while Mom and Dad tried to decide what we were going to have for dinner. there were only two slices left, so i only had one. i didn't want pizza for dinner and i wanted to wait for whatever we were going to have for real dinner.
they decided to have Taco Bell.
Gross. i do not like fast food at all. it's disgusting, bad for you, and simple. for lazy people who don't give a shit about they're health.
so naturally, when they asked what i wanted i said, "nothing."
i was angry so i went to my room. i got to my room when i need time to relax and get over whatever has given me a bad mood. then when i felt better, i went out to the kitchen to see if we had any bananas. nope. so i called Patty and asked. i asked if she had any that were ripe (starting to have brown spots on them) without any green on them. she said she had new ones that have green and really ripe ones with a lot of brown spots. i didn't know if she meant brown spots like the big thick spots of a lot of little ones, so i went over to look myself. i'm glad i did because they were perfect! a whole lot of little tiny brown spots. my favorite.
so i thanked her and took home 3 because she doesn't care for them like that. i toasted two pieces of bread, spread peanut butter on each, sliced up the banana and put it all on one piece and had myself a very tasty Toasted Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwich. i also had a glass of milk; a definite with anything peanut butter. and two handfuls of French Onion Sun Chips.
i'm going to write a list of healthy foods i like that aren't always here at home. then i will go and buy them and keep them in my room. because i don't eat everything very fast and by the time i want something, there are none left. Tyler has a mini fridge in his room. i would want one but my room is so tiny, i wouldn't have a place to put it. also, it's a waste of energy. i don't want to have my parents pay extra money on their energy bills because i'm... more health cautious? responsible? organized?
i wonder if Tyler has anything in his besides Gatorade.

12:42 pm - Jared's Birthday

this morning my family and my dad's parents went over to Jared and Shannon's house for a surprise birthday breakfast for Jared. Shannon wanted to do something special for him since he did the same for her. tonight's party will be for both of them. Shannon made blueberry pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs, and sausage. i think i might be forgetting something. and she cut up some bananas and strawberries, then, heated them up with some blueberries for pancake toppings. and cool whip. it was mighty tasty.
we're going to Nijo Castle tonight for the actual big party. Bobby, Tony, Patty, Rosann, Tyler and Chloe, Weeyo and Weeya, Mom and Dad, and I will be going. and of course Jared, Shannon and Tanner. yay!

11:40 pm - Shirt Arrival, Beginning of Log, Work Out, Dinner

I GOT MY SHIRT TODAY!!! YAY!!! it's awesome! i'm so happy! and now i know for future shirts that i could use a Small. this Medium will fit fine but i know that i could fit into smaller. i'm glad i played it safe, definitely.
so yesterday, patty and i decided to lo every single thing i ingest so we can figure out why my bowel movements are... strange. but don't worry; if i write about them in here it will be under a Private entry.
worked out today. did 80 reps of chest press. i did 4 sets. the first 2 were with 10lb weights, 15 reps each. the 3rd set was with 10lbs and 20 reps. and the 4th i used 12lb weights and did 30 reps.
i did the same during bicep curls, but 25 reps on the 4th set. so a total of 75 reps.
and for the tricep extensions i used 5lb weights for the first 3 sets, and 7lb weights for the 4th. and the same as biceps. (15 reps, 15 reps, 20 reps, and 7lb 25 reps.)
i hope i'm right about the whole rep, set thing. term-wise. does it matter really? i work my ass off and get results.
oh and we sat our butts on the ground with our backs resting on the Bosu Ball (a half ball), then held our legs up for as long as we could. i got up to 2 minutes. believe me, it's tough. oh, and three times. my abs will be dead tomorrow. plus, my legs are still sore from Tuesday from those isolated lunges, and now they'll be extra sore from holding my legs up.
dinner was steak, garlic bread, corn, and caesar salad. and our appetizer was Tostios chips with Pace's Mild Chunky salsa.

so at 1am last night/this morning i remembered that i had a dentist appointment at 11am. so this morning when i got up a had some Raisin Bran Crunch, watched the Price is Right with Chloe and cleaned my mouth for about 15 minutes. i brushed my teeth with my Crest Vanilla Mint toothpaste, used my tongue scraper, brushed my teeth again with my Brite Smile Professional toothpaste, and flossed my teeth twice. after each row of flossing i brushed my teeth with my toothbrush that i dipped in my Listerine Vanilla Mint Mouthwash. so i did that four times total. and finally, i rinsed my mouth with mouthwash.
i obviously take care of my teeth.
so my appointment overall grade was an A. not quite an A+. i had bleeding in one spot. i'm not flossing high enough right there. otherwise i'm doing great!
i told them about the pain i'm having where they put in my fillings. they checked those out and they said that something was wrong. i should be able to floss there without any pain, shredding the string or getting it caught. right now when i push the string up it hurts like hell! on my right side it shreds the string on the way up and on my left i can't even push the string up without hurting myself. with both i cannot pull the string back down, so instead i just pull the string out through the holes.
so now i have an appointment to have my fillings redone, free of charge. i have to be numbed up and everything. so that's going to suck. at least i don't have to pay for it. i have to go the day after St. Patrick's Day.
my dentist had to floss in those areas to see what was wrong, so right now i'm kind of hurting. oh well. it will fade eventually.

9:47 pm - Max, Work Out, Tanner, UPS, Thanksgiving Dinner

two minutes before i went next door to walk Max, Zack had gotten home. so once i went inside Zack had let Max out in the backyard to go potty. so i had to go to the backyard to call him so he could come with me on our walk. we went down about 10 houses, he pooped, and then wanted to go back. since he had pooped we were done, so we went back. it was the fastest walk we ever did! which was nice because if we were to take our normal 20 minute walk, i would have been late to my training.
so Patty and i worked out. man, i was beat!
after every work out, Patty and i go to Safeway to get dinner, then we pick up Makenna from her Adult School class.
but before we went to Safeway, we stopped by my house because Mom had called Patty to say that Shannon and Tanner were over, and to come over. when we got home i was shocked! Tanner had his hair cut!!! Shannon said last night her and Jared decided to cut his hair. so now it's short and he looks so incredibly different! he looks older! it's weird. i personally liked it longer. but hey, hair grows.
AND he's taking his first steps! not quite walking but at least he's moving one foot in front of the other while keeping himself standing. we still hold his hands of course. it's amazing watching him change. it seems so fast. now i know what everyone means when they say they all grow up so fast.
oh and now he's waving and will also pucker up his lips when you ask for a kiss and lean in to give him a kiss. it's so cute! he did it thrice with Patty.
so before Patty and i went into Safeway, she had to drop off a package at the UPS store. we were there for about 15 minutes because of the new owners. it took both of them to figure out how to give the right change while using the computer. all Patty wanted was for them to check how much her package weighed to make sure she had the right amount of stamps on. plus to make matters even more annoying, the man they were trying to find change for was parked in a handicapped zone with his hazard lights on. (for 15 minutes) jerk.
anyway. at Safeway, i couldn't decided what i wanted for dinner. Patty asked chicken? no. pork chops? no. steak? no. noodles? no. shrimp? no. (obviously, i'm picky) then she said what she has at home is mashed potatoes. so i said 'let's get some gravy'. on the way to get gravy i saw Stove Top chicken stuffing. so we got stuffing. and then i said we should get one of those ready to eat turkey breasts over where the ready to eat chickens were. and patty grabbed some string beans. so we kind of had a Thanksgiving dinner. it was soooo good. oh yeah, and spinach salad - naturally. Rosann came over later on and had some as well. it was so yummy.
oh and tonight was Makenna's last class so we got her a giant sun balloon.

9:06 pm - Tv and Max
|
watching Terminator right now. the tv series. i didn't know it was going to be on at 8. it's normally on at 9. my mom was watching tv and told me it was on at 8 to 10. it's the season finale. so here i am watching it. i've gotten a lot of close calls when it comes to tv. fortunate i guess.
i started watching Terminator for the terminator girl. she was in Serenity and i thought she was pretty cool. i'm not obsessed over it, but it is pretty interesting. so i watch it. a tough female lead is always awesome.
i walked Max twice today. i was gonna go over at 8:30/8:45 and let him outside into the backyard. but no i guess i won't. Zack gets back at about 10 so he should be good.

10:51 pm - Shannon's Birthday
|
today is Shannon's birthday. she's now a quarter of a century year old. Dad and i went shopping for her today. we got her a really cool vase and some roses arranged with some baby's breath. i got her a $25 iTunes gift card and one of those cards that play a song when opened. i got the chicken dance one. Tyler went in on those with me. and Dad also got her a $40 gift card to Borders.
since Shannon had to work today (12 hour shift 8:30am-pm) she wouldn't have a party. but Jared planned to have me and Dad, Weeyo and Weeya, Darryll and Tara, and Shauna, Dan and Elijah over. Tyler had to work. Mom is sick. Patty had to pick up Ross from his delayed airplane; Kadie was driving back to school and Mak was with Patty. Rosann... i dunno, i think she wanted to stay home and relax or spend time with Zack. anyway.. everyone was there at 8pm and we waited for Shannon to call Jared letting him know she was home (so he could open the garage for her to drive in). he let her in and said "i have something on the stove so come in" and he came to us and we turned off the lights. we all grouped together near the door she would enter at and yelled "SURPRISE!" when she came in. she was completely shocked and looked as if she was very happy. it was great!
i made her cupcakes from a Devil's Food Cake cake mix. as the frosting, i used this very yummy Triple Chocolate Fudge Frosting with mini chocolate chips in it. Chloe brought over some cookies that she had made (she couldn't stay for the Surprise though). Jared made brownies with white icing that read "Happy 25th" on top.
everyone stayed until about 9:45pm. Dad and i hung out for just a little bit. and i helped clean up a little. it was very fun. i'm glad we were able to celebrate her birthday today.

8:51 pm - OWWWW!!!!!

my back hurts so fucking bad right now and i do not know why! it started hurting around 6, so i took some Advil. it won't go away!!! the meds did nothing! oh my goodness, this is so horrible. i have no idea what i did to make it hurt so badly. right now i'm on my bed with two pillows propped up behind me against the wall. and i have my laptop on my tray (it's a tray with a bean bag like padding underneath and wrist pads. the tray part has a no slip surface and lets the computer breathe. so i'm pretty comfortable; enough to be on the computer writing. yet, i can still feel the ache in my lower back. what that fuck happened?!
i got an email today at 1pm, stating that my order has been shipped. the "TEN, got who?" one. i'm quite excited. today i had almost forgotten Doctor Who was on. i forgot to set my alarm last week. normally i set it right after i watch the new episode. well, new for us Americans. they show it on BBC America at 4pm on Saturdays. at 3:54 i looked at the clock and flipped out. i was happy that i at least remembered. i would have been bummed to have to wait another week to see it. they play the repeat right before the new episode. so at least i would be able to see two new episodes at once.
you know, for saying i don't really care for tv, i sure do write about it a lot. as if it takes up most of my life. it doesn't. i just happen to have interesting topics that are related to those shows. kind of sad.
Rosann called me at 5 telling me that she was just leaving Cosco with some dinner for my family. i was a bit shocked and yet, pretty touched as well. Patty's family and my family have been feeding her and her family more often lately. she said she wanted to bring us some food this time. she got Patty salmon and other stuff. to us, she brought a rotisserie chicken, asparagus, red potatoes, a loaf of bread, some chicken noodle soup for my sick mom, and a lemon cake. she is so very kind for doing that. i love Rosann! it was all very very tasty. yum!
well, i'm off to read some snarry. goodnight.

2:01 pm - Shirt and Credit Card

so i didn't buy the Shakespeare shirt. instead i made my own! although, a different one. on the front it says "TEN" in blue. and the back says "got who?", also in blue. the price came out to $23.58. i bought it with one of those $25 VISA gift cards.
i don't trust the internet. or anyone else for that matter. that's why i don't have a credit card. it could get stolen and that would be a whole big mess. so instead i get the gift cards. i think i might get one of those reloadable credit cards. i'd keep a small about on it of course, say $75 ($100 maximum). and if i decide on an item i know i can use and will enjoy, then i will allow myself to add more to it if the price is higher than what the card holds. i'm the kind of person who takes my time to decide on my purchases. i'm rather proud of myself for being smart about such things.

had a headache this morning. it sucked. when i went to the bathroom i noticed that i had really big dark circles under my eyes. i took some advil and lied back down. eventually went away. then i walked Max. it's been nice out the last few days. today was maybe 73F. which is really great for winter! lol. ah weather in california.
it was so nice, in fact, that i didn't have to wear a jacket under my sweatshirt while i worked out! hell, i didn't even need them! i was hot enough wearing my tank top! and i was sweating! well, i did tell myself yesterday that i would work my ass off today. and i did. my abs still hurt!
dinner was baked teriyaki chicken, sourdough bread, organic string beans, and spinach salad. sadly, i had a coke for my beverage. normally i have milk or water. next time.
i'm looking online at a fantastic shirt. it's Shakespeare saying Expelliarmus. i think i will buy it.
Tyler is currently working on the 5x5 Rubik's Cube. he's looking on a site online for help. he's pretty close! he's got the middle bits all together, mostly. hopefully he's enjoying it. i got that for him for christmas. fun fun fun!

sadly, Ghost Hunters was a repeat tonight. i was looking forward to it since i missed last week's. oh well. instead of watching the repeat, i watching one of the two episodes i missed from Lost. i'm not really into Lost at all anymore. i don't watch it when it's on. i'd rather watch it On Demand so i can watch it on my own time. plus no commercials.
then project runway came on. i'm pissed that Chris isn't going to the finale. in the Argus, my local newspaper, an article said the fashion week audience gave him a large applause. so i was let to believe he would win the semi-final. and Klum said something along the lines of, "are we sure about what we're going to do?". and she only says that when there's going to be a twist. for example, letting both Chris and Rami go. i'm kind of mad now. tv is stupid. i don't know why i waste my time. i'd rather be reading anyway.
who do i want to win this season? i think i'd like Jillian to win. i love Christian's work for it's creativity, but i believe Jillian deserves it. i'm not to thrilled by Rami. but who knows? we'll just have to find out next week.
Patty and Rosann came back today from St. Louis. i missed them a lot. we went out to Olive Garden for dinner. i feel gross eating out so often. but it's alright. i work out tomorrow at 4. i'll be sure to push myself. anyway, that is all.

9:33 pm - Biggest Loser Rant, Chili's, Rob & Big

so i'm watching the Biggest Loser right now. i don't know why. i'm not a big tv fan unless it's one of my favorites. i think i was waiting to watch House, but the season's over... right? anyway.. this show bugs me so much. i don't like when they only lose 1 pound and become depressed about it. you've obviously lost weight, but you gained muscle at the same time. so basically, you're leveled out. which means that 1 pound is really good! the show never remind people of that. oh and, the whole women lose weight differently. so the show really isn't fair. when you do weights you lose fat, and then gain muscle. muscle mass weighs more. end rant.
mom said we were going to go to Chevy's after picking up Makenna. i was kinda bugged since i highly dislike mexican food (even though i'm half mex.) but then i saw it as a good thing because then i could have a change compared to Chili's, since i always get the same thing everywhere. and then she said something about Chili's. i told her she said Chevy's and then she said she had meant to say Chili's. so then i got bugged about that. i always get Monterey Chicken and i'm getting kind of tired of it. so then i was determined to find and try something new at Chili's. fortunately the menu has been updated and is a bit new. so i got Honey BBQ Steak with a side of fries and corn on the cob, and a Strawberry Daiquiri, water.
okay so now i'm watching Ace of Cakes. which is good because this is the repeat of the episode i missed last week. then i'll watch Rob & Big at 10:30. it's funny how i was so angry when the show was about to air and now it's one of my favorite shows. right before it first aired i was furious. it was another show Mtv had decided to add to their already large amount of reality shows. i remember complaining about how rob and big had absolutely nothing to do with music. Mtv's slogan used to be Music 24/7. and now all it is, is reality shows and other crap. well, i do love Jackass. so those two i'm alright with. i think i got into Rob & Big last season. they're just so funny!

4:00 pm - Digital Camera, Mo, Vista

so now that i have a digital camera i have been able to get a lot of great photos. plus i'm able to make videos. i'm considering making a youtube account so i can have somewhere to store all the vids. i would make it private of course. i don't think strangers really need to know who's birthday it is and how old they are. besides, it's personal. family personal, not personal privates or anything of that nature.
and now that i have a camera i can take more recent photos of Mo. i can make a new icon. this one is old. i think... 6 years ago?
man, he'll be 10 in august. i can't believe it. my little baby. his breed is said to live 12-15 years. i'm hoping for 16, as long as he's healthy and happy. i can't even begin to imagine losing him.
change of subject. tears are currently unwanted.
i'm going to try to write in LJ everyday. now that my laptop isn't all weird anymore, i can use it.
unfortunately, i cannot play sims on it.
i'm still thinking of downgrading from vista to XP. thoughts?
